In den USA hat der Oberste Gerichtshof gestern ein Urteil gekippt, das das Recht auf Schwangerschaftsabbruch bisher gesichert hatte. Nun werden solche medizinischen Eingriffe mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit in fast der Hälfte der US-Bundesstaaten illegal. Auch wenn das das Ziel der Richter:innen ist, wird das Schwangerschaftsabbrüche nicht beenden, sondern sie nur unsicherer und tödlicher machen. (English Version below)
Diese Entscheidung trifft in erster Linie die Frauen und alle gebärfähigen Menschen der Arbeiter:innenklasse. Sie können es sich nicht leisten, in andere Bundesstaaten zu fahren, um dort Abbrüche vornehmen zu lassen. Und sie können kein Geld für rechtlichen Schutz aufbringen. Wichtig ist hier zu betonen, dass das jüngste Urteil nur die Spitze des Eisbergs darstellt, weil auch in den Jahren davor die Möglichkeiten für Schwangerschaftsabbrüche immer stärker limitiert und ausgehöhlt wurden.
Das Urteil ist somit ein weiterer Meilenstein des globalen Rechtsrucks, an dem die Rechte in den USA seit Jahrzehnten gearbeitet hat. Es ist ein Totalangriff auf das Recht auf körperliche Selbstbestimmung. Der Staat will ganz nach der Logik von Patriarchat und Kapitalismus die gesellschaftliche Reproduktion vollständig unter seine Kontrolle bringen. Dieses Urteil zeigt damit ein weiteres Mal, dass eine Gesellschaft, in der wir frei leben können, nur möglich ist, wenn wir Staat, Kapitalismus und Patriarchat insgesamt überwinden. Erst ohne sie werden wir eine Gesellschaft mit echter körperlicher Selbstbestimmung aufbauen können.
Überall in den USA gehen die Menschen gegen das Urteil massenhaft auf die Straßen. Sie wissen, was auf dem Spiel steht und viele haben in diesen Tagen auch gesehen, dass eine Verteidigung der erkämpften Rechte nur auf der Straße, als feministische Bewegung möglich ist.
Auf die Institutionen des Staates ist kein Verlass, also braucht es Widerstand und praktische selbstorganisierte Hilfe gegen die Verbote. Es wird darauf ankommen, solche Netzwerke in den nächsten Monaten aufzubauen und gleichzeitig den Druck auf den Staat und Abtreibungsgegner:innen aufrecht zu erhalten. Auch militante Aktionen wie sie in den vergangenen Wochen bereits unter dem Namen “Jane´s Revenge” durchgeführt wurden, sind jetzt mehr als jemals zu vor notwendig.
Wir stehen in Solidarität mit dem feministischen Widerstand in den USA. Es kann kein Zurückweichen vor Patriarchat und Rechtsruck mehr geben. Es ist Zeit, zurückzuschlagen.
Für das Recht auf körperliche Selbstbestimmung aller Menschen! Für das Recht auf sichere und kostenfreie Schwangerschaftsabbrüche! Nieder mit Staat, Kapitalismus und Patriarchat!

In the US, the Supreme Court recently overturned a ruling that had previously officially secured the right to abortion. Now such medical procedures will almost certainly become illegal in nearly half of US states. Even if that is the goal of the justices, this will not end abortions, but only make them more unsafe and deadly.
This decision primarily affects women and all childbearing members (for example non-binary or trans people) of the working class. They can’t afford to travel to other states to get abortions. And they cannot afford to pay for legal protection. It is important to emphasize here that the recent ruling is only the tip of the iceberg, because abortion options have also been increasingly limited in the years leading up to the recent decision.
Nevertheless, the ruling is another milestone in the global reactionary shift to that the right wing has been working on in the US for decades. It is a total attack on the right to bodily autonomy. Following the logic of patriarchy and capitalism, the state wants to bring social reproduction completely under its control. This sentence thus shows once again that a society in which we can live freely is only possible if we overcome the state, capitalism and patriarchy altogether. Only without them will we be able to build a society with true bodily autonomy.
All over the US, people are taking to the streets en masse against the ruling. They know what is at stake and many have also seen in these days that a defense of the rights they have fought for in the past is only possible on the streets, as a feminist movement.
The institutions of the state cannot be relied upon, so resistance and practical self-organized help against the bans is needed. It will be important to build up such networks in the coming months and at the same time to keep up the pressure on the state and anti-abortion activists. Militant actions such as those already carried out in recent weeks under the name “Jane’s Revenge” are also needed now more than ever.
We stand in solidarity with the feminist resistance in the USA. There can be no more backing down from patriarchy and the shift to the right. It is time to fight back.
For the right to bodily autonomy for all people! For the right to safe and free abortions! Down with state, capitalism and patriarchy!
